MMC Recognized for 5-Star-Rated Treatment of Heart Failure and Stroke

Mainland Medical Center today announced that it has received a 5-Star rating for the quality of its treatment of heart failure and stroke from HealthGrades, the leading independent healthcare ratings organization. The recognition is based on HealthGrades’ twelfth annual Hospital Quality in America study, released today, which analyzes patient outcomes at virtually all of the nation’s hospitals. Read more…

Lab Receives accreditation form College of American Pathologists

Mainland Medical Center’s Laboratory has been awarded accreditation by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), based on the results of a recent onsite inspection. As one of 7,000 CAP-accredited laboratories nationwide, Mainland Medical Center has been recognized by the federal government as being equal to or more stringent than the government’s own inspection program. During the CAP accreditation process, inspectors examine the lab’s records, quality control procedures, equipment, and staff qualifications for the preceding two year.
