In most cases, individuals can take control of their disease and lead a normal, healthy and active life. The Outpatient Diabetes Self-Management Center of Mainland Medical Center is here to help patients effectively meet the challenges of diabetes.

Our specially-trained staff works with the patient, family and physician to personalize a plan of care. With education as the foundation, controlling diabetes is an attainable goal. Depending on your needs and physical condition, self-management training is provided in a small group setting or on an individual basis. Knowing each person is affected differently by diabetes, we tailor the education to satisfy your specific needs.

The Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine’s Diabetes Self-Management Education Program at Mainland Medical Center, has been recognized by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) for its high-quality education services.
Programs that achieve Recognition status have a staff of knowledgeable health professionals who can provide education about diabetes self management strategies for participants.
