Our Emergency Department is here 24/7 with a highly specialized team of medical professionals to provide the highest quality care. Our nurses and technicians are certified in advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support, trauma care and crisis intervention.
A 22 bed unit, the Emergency Department at Mainland Medical Center can handle a vast range of medical needs, from minor injuries to major illness. Particularly for victims of heart attack, stroke or pneumonia, early intervention can mean the difference between life and death.
Seconds count when there is a cardiac emergency. Cardiac emergencies, including chest pain, heart failure, arrhythmias and heart attacks require quick treatment. Because every second counts, Mainland Medical Center’s Chest pain care is located in the Emergency Department.
This care provides the hospital with more time to monitor patients who do not have clear symptoms of a coronary event so that they are not sent home too early or needlessly admitted.

Minor emergencies such as such as lacerations, sprains, strains, fractures, allergic reactions and middle-of-the-night fevers, aches and pains - we’re here to treat it.
Located on the west side of the Mainland Medical Center campus, the Center is staffed by highly trained, individuals. The Imaging Center offers cutting-edge Digital X-Ray services. A radiologist is available to consult with physicians, and most laboratory services are on site.
HealthOne Express Care Texas City is an extension of Mainland Medical Center’s Emergency Department.
